• Cycle is on the 5th April 2008 from UCD to Castlebridge (approx 135km)
• Registration is between 8.30am and 8.45am with plans to be on the road at 9.00
• To register you will need your sponsorship card, money and a mobile phone number
• Participants are advised to wear padded cycling shorts!
• You are also advised to bring your mobile phone and money for stops
• The route is via the N11 with a detour through Shankill to avoid the motorway
• There will be refreshment stops along the way where people will be collecting money
• Transport will be provided for you and your bike back to Dublin on Sunday (please email if you need this service)
• Overnight accommodation is the responsibility of the individual (see below for info)
• Participants are expected to raise €200 or more in sponsorship
• All bikes that are seen to be roadworthy will be accepted though racer bikes or hybrid bikes are recommended
• All cyclists must wear a helmet or they will not be able to register
• People are asked to confirm their participation by Thursday 21st Feb
• There will be a reception in Culletons Pub, Castlebridge on arrival

                                                     

                                                                                        REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Please note that any cyclists taking part are required to register with organiser officials on Saturday morning.

Any cyclists who join the race but have not registered with the Cycle Organisers at UCD will not be covered under the Cycle Safety Statement and that no liability what so ever shall attach to the Organisers, the Charity, the Sponsors or any Cycle Official, either as individuals or collectively, in respect of injury, loss or damage suffered by me in by reason of the cycle however caused.

Cyclists should enter UCD through the main entrance, then turn right into the O' Reilly Car Park.

Any cars which are being left overnight must be parked in O' Reilly Car Park at owner own risk. Car registration number should be provided to the Cycle Organisers at Registration in order to notify UCD Campus Security.

Cyclists must only bring what they require for the day and will be directed from O' Reilly Car Park to the UCD Student Center.

The cycle will leave from the UCD Student Centre Car Park at 09.00.
